2nd last qualifying of the year started in Sochi (Russia). Devlin DeFrancesco and Richard Verschoor went both out on their first set of soft tyres. Richard took over the 10th place after his first push lap while Devlin wasn’t up to speed yet. But the sectors kept improving for Richard and he managed to move up to 9th before he went into the pitlane. Devlin moved up to 15th position.
The sun went down, and it started to get much darker. Both drivers got their last set of new tyres with 15 min to go. Richard improved his both last two laps what finally made him 8th fastest. He was just 0,3 sec of pole position, and he said on the radio that he lost a lot of time in the last corner. Devlin has to start 16th in race one tomorrow.
P8 Richard Verschoor
