No testing anymore for FIA Formula 3. The last opportunity to try different setups was today at the Hungaroring circuit. The track conditions were dry with an air temperature of around 20 degrees. Right circumstances for two long days of testing for the driver, but not the same as when Formula 3 returns in August when temperatures can increase to over 30 degrees.
The results were mixed during the days and probably hard to compare without knowing when which driver used his new tyres or did his race simulation. One thing is clear, and that is how competitive this year’s Formula 3 field is. The top 24 cars were in 1 second in today’s morning session and a group of 9 drivers in two-tenths of a second!
See below the results of the two days of testing.
The first FIA Formula 3 race will start on Saturday 11 May during the Formula 1 weekend in Barcelona.
