This week we arrived in Portugal for round 6 of the Eurocup-3 championship, and what a round it was. During the second race, we managed to get the best result of the season with a clean sweep of the podium!
Practice on Saturday morning started off well, with all cars in the top 10 and Mari toping the sheets. Later that day we had the first of the two Qualifying sessions. The second row was fully MP with Sebastian O. in P3 and Mari Boya in P4, Bruno qualified in P7, Joss in P9 and Sebastian G. in P13.
Race 1 started off clean, Mari and Sebastian O. battled for P3 and eventually, Mari came out on top whereas Sebastian O. finished behind him in P4. Joss finished P6 and Bruno P8. Sebastian G. had a late spin and finished P17.
Sunday got kicked off with Qualifying 2 where we managed to get the second row again. However, Mari got P3 this time with Bruno in P4 and Sebastian O. right behind them in P5. Joss got P8 and Sebastian G.P13.
Race 2 was majestic. After the restart of the safety car, both Joss and Bruno were able to jump to P4 and P5. Which meant we were driving P2-P5. Masson was leading the race but got a drive-through penalty, that resulted in the lead for Mari and he raced it to the win with Sebastian O. and Joss following him on the podium. Bruno Finished in P5 and Sebastian G. in P9 to make a 1-2 on the rookie podium.
This has been the best result of the season so far!
