The highs and lows of Formula 3 in Bahrain!
With the first round of the 2023 FIA Formula 3 season done and dusted it is time to take a look back on the weekend and recap our results in this first round.
The Qualifying session was a tough one, to get Franco in P12 which meant a reverse pole position for the Sprint Race on Saturday! Jonny ended up Qualifying in P15 and Mari in P19.
The Sprint Race went off with a flying start with Franco keeping the lead of the race from his reverse pole position. With Franco losing the lead on lap 14/19 after dueling it out on track with Pepe Martí, he ended up taking his first podium of the season with a great P2. Jonny scored some points in P9 and Mari came home in P16.
With the Feature Race on Sunday our starting positions were Franco P12, Jonny P15 and Mari P19. Franco climbed up the order 2 places and finished P10 scoring some more points on the first weekend. Jonny, after having a mega start where he made up 5 places, unfortunately fell back after picking up front wing damage and came in P23. After a collision on lap 7 Mari had to unfortunately retire the car.
