It was the last race of the season and the FRECA team went to the Hockenheimring in Germany. The structure of the weekend was different than we were used to with Sunday’s Race Qualifying being on Friday.
Qualifying for Race 2 took place on Friday instead of Sunday, and it proved to be a challenging session. Victor managed to secure a spot in the top 10, starting in P9, while Sami narrowly missed out, landing in P11. Javier started from P25.
On Saturday we had the second Qualifying session but this time it was for Race 1. It was not an easy session, nevertheless, Sami managed to get a P7, Victor a P15, and Javier 10 places behind in P25. Race 1 arrived and our team faced some challenges, with Sami ultimately finishing in P13, Victor finishing in P15, and Javier making impressive progress to cross the finish line in P19.
With the arrival of Sunday morning, the last Race of the season was upon us. There weren’t any Qualifying sessions today because that already happened on Friday. Victor managed to gain 1 place and finish the race in P8, Javier and Sami weren’t so lucky with Sami retiring after a spin and Javier after a broken front wing.
