The second race weekend of the Formula Regional Championship 2023 season gave us some valuable points. Dilano, Sami and Victor showed good pace during the whole event, in a very tough championship with top-class drivers. The competition was tough. but Sami managed to end Race 2 on the podium!
After two test sessions, with Sami setting the fastest lap in the second collective test, we put in some good results in Qualifying 1. Dilano got 10th place in Qualifying 1 Group A, and in Qualifying 1 Group B, Sami came 2nd while Victor came in 9th. Race 1 wasn’t our best performance, as Sami and Dilano both didn’t finish the race and Victor came home in 12th, just outside the points.
With the grid set for Race 2 on Saturday, we had Sami starting 3rd, Victor starting 17th and Dilano starting 22nd, we were off to a good chance of a podium with Sami starting on the second row. He ultimately held on to his place and finished on his first podium of the season! Victor made up two places and ended the race in 15th position, with Dilano a couple of cars behind in P22.

FRECA will be back on track in less than a month for Round 3 in Budapest, which will be held during the weekend of 15-17 June.
