The sixth race weekend of the Formula Regional Championship 2023 season gave us some valuable points for the team championship and a podium for Sami! Our team returned to the FRECA paddock after missing the previous round in Mugello due to the passing of our driver Dilano van ‘t Hoff.
Qualifying 1 was a good session for us with both drivers finishing in the top 10, Sami qualified P3 and Victor qualified P8. After qualifying we went on to Race 1 later in the day, Sami made up one place and stepped onto the podium after ending in a great P2 in his home race. Victor made up one place as well, ending Race 1 in P7 and scoring good points.
Sunday’s Qualifying 2 ended with P16 for Victor and P17 for Sami. With zero incidents and safety cars, the weekend finished P14 for Sami with Victor close behind in P17.

FRECA will be going on their summer break now, and will be back on track in the weekend of September 9-10 for Round 7 in Spielberg!
