FRMEC final round at the Dubai Autodrome causes excitement for MP

FRECA — February 19, 2024

Last weekend we concluded the FRMEC 2024 season with three rounds being driven on the Dubai Autodrome in Dubailand. Bruno Del Pino showed his class during the two qualifying sessions and finished at P7 and P3, Emerson Fittipaldi finished on P18 and P10, Nikhil Bohra on P15 and P20, and Isaac Barashi on P26 and P28.

In the first round, all MP cars managed to get off to a great start. Nikhil was unfortunately eliminated due to damage. Bruno awaited the same fate as his teammate but did manage to keep championship contender Barnard behind him for a few minutes and also finish the race as 26th. Emerson kept his starting position and finished in the tenth position. Isaac gained a total of five positions which set him up for a 21st place at the finish line.

The second race was an exciting one because of Emmo his P10 finish in the previous race. This meant that he was going to start at pole. He managed to secure P8 after fighting for every position. Isaac sadly got in a collision in the first round which meant he had to retire his car. Nikhil and Bruno both gained multiple positions and secured P13 and 14.

The third and final round was an exciting one for Bruno, who managed to secure P3 on the grid during qualifying. Isaac and Nikhil sadly both suffered damage which meant a DNF for our numbers 26 and 47. Bruno and Emmo did manage to finish the race. Emmo finished nineteenth and Bruno managed to get P7.

This weekend concluded the FRMEC 2024 season and we are looking forward to the upcoming FRECA and Eurocup-3 seasons. You’ll be able to see Nikhil race for MP in the upcoming FRECA season, while both Bruno and Emmo are going to compete in Eurocup-3.

Final points:

12. Nikhil– 49
16. Bruno – 18
20. Emerson – 5
30. Isaac – 0
