Spanish F4 Round 2 Motorland

Formula 4 — May 22, 2023

This weekend was the second round of the Spanish F4 championship, where we headed to the Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain. We took home some important points for the team and drivers championships.

Our weekend started on Saturday afternoon with Qualifying 1, where we set the grid for Race 1 later that day, with Keanu starting in P3, Valerio in P5, Pedro in P8, Jeronimo in P11 and Alvise in P27.

Race 1 was an exciting race with close wheel to wheel racing in the entire field. Everything was running smoothly for our team until the very last lap, in which Keanu, who was running in P5, experienced a mechanical issue and stopped on track. He did make it back to the pits and therefore ended in P30.
Race 1 results: P4 Valerio, P10 Pedro, P12 Jeronimo, P23 Alvise, P30 Keanu.

Sunday saw a more action filled day, with Qualifying 2, Race 2 and Race 3 all planned for our Sunday. Starting off with Qualifying 2, Valerio qualified P2, with P8 for Pedro, P10 Keanu, P12 Jeronimo and P16 Alvise.

Not long after this qualification, we went onto Race 2 for the weekend, where Pedro ended just outside the podium in P4, with Valerio behind in P7, P8 for Keanu, P17 for Alvise and P25 for Jeronimo.

Race 3 was our final race for the weekend, where 2 safety cars made the running of our team difficult with a close midfield. Valerio was driving in P4 until a late overtaking move by Pedro backfired and cost both Valerio and Pedro some places in the final race.

The next Spanish F4 races will be in Navarra (Spain), and will take place on the weekend of June 24-25.
