MP Motorsport has retained talented Belgian racer Ean Eyckmans for his promotion to the growing Eurocup-3 series. Last year’s F4 Spanish Championship runner-up will move up to the next level with the continued support of the Belgian federation.

Eyckmans steps up after a single season in Formula 4, that netted him second in the Spanish championship at his first attempt, extending an unbroken chain of Richard Mille Young Talent Academy Shootout winners that go on to produce extremely successful debut seasons in motorsport. This meant that immediate promotion on the single-seater ladder was always on the cards for the Belgian youngster, who will celebrate his 18th birthday in three days’ time. Eager to retain Eyckmans, MP Motorsport has slotted him into a berth in their four-car Eurocup-3 line-up for 2026. Eyckmans will have Gianmarco Pradel as one of his team mates, with more announcements due very soon.

“I’m very happy to stay with MP Motorsport for this exciting new step in my single-seater career”, said Eyckmans. “I feel that I am ready for the challenge, but it certainly helps that MP have been a strong force in Eurocup-3 since the start of the series. That bodes well for my prospects in the coming season. In fact, it’s nice to know that MP is represented across the entire single-seater ladder, as that allows you to create a bond with the team and build on a strong level of cooperation.”
“We are pleased that Ean has decided to stick with us for his promotion to Eurocup-3 in 2026”, said Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport’s team principal. “He has been exceptional in his debut season in formula racing, growing stronger with every race weekend. His opportunity to move up together with us is fully deserved. I’m confident that Ean, along with Gianmarco and the other drivers that we will announce shortly, is fully up to the task of maintaining our position at the top of the championship tables this season.”

Preceding his Richard Mille Shootout glory and his successful F4 Spanish campaign, Eyckmans was a frontrunner in his karting days. In Mini karts, Eyckmans finished runner-up in the 2018 WSK Final Cup and 2019 WSK Super Master Series. In the meantime, he also bagged third in the 2018 Italian Championship. Moving up to OK Juniors, Eyckmans notably grabbed third in the 2021 FIA European Championship, before claiming a respective ninth and 11th in the 2022 and 2023 FIA European Championships at OK level. In 2024, Eyckmans’s biggest karting achievement was winning the WSK Super Masters Series. Moving up to single-seaters, the young Belgian made his racing debut for MP Motorsport in the 2025 E4 Spanish Winter Championship, claiming a pair of podiums and his maiden pole position to finish a creditable sixth in the final standings.
