Pradel teams up with MP Motorsport for 2026 Eurocup-3 campaign

GB3 race winner Gianmarco Pradel has joined forces with MP Motorsport for a full season in the burgeoning Eurocup-3 series. The highly talented 19-year-old from Sydney moves over to the Dutch team to be one of the lynchpins in MP’s multi-car effort.

Pradel’s signing comes on the back of a strong GB3 season for the young Australian, that garnered two wins, nine podiums and two fastest laps on the way to Pradel finishing a competitive fourth in the final standings. Now, Pradel is ready for his next step up on the single-seater ladder to Formula 1, as he joins the team that took both titles in Eurocup-3 in 2025 and is aiming for a repeat performance this season. Pradel is the first driver to be announced for MP’s winning outfit, with more announcements to follow.

“It’s amazing to be joining arguably the best team in Eurocup-3”, said Pradel. “The series is increasingly delivering talent at the doorstep of FIA Formula 3, especially when they have raced with MP Motorsport, so I’m really looking forward to be part of the team and their continued success. Priority is now for the team to prepare during the remaining winter period and Winter Series and then go into the race season, where it will be ‘full-on attack’ in the first rounds of the championship, challenging for podiums right from the start. I can’t wait to get going!”

“We are delighted that Gianmarco will be part of our Eurocup-3 line-up this year”, said Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport’s team principal. “The series has been good to us in the past few years and we fully intend to remain on top in the season that lies ahead of us. Gianmarco’s presence will be pivotal in reaching that goal. He’s been truly excellent in GB3 last year, impressing us with his pace and racecraft. He will be one of our best hopes for continued Eurocup-3 glory.”

Pradel began karting in Australia, where he consistently finished in the top ten in the Australian Karting Championship with Rush Performance. Soon he was on his way to Europe, where he became runner-up in the 2023 Formula Winter Series and took on both the Italian Formula 4 Championship and Euro 4 series in 2023 and 2024, concluding his second season with a win at Monza. Pradel got his GB3 promotion in 2025, adding two wins and nine podiums to his tally, and finishing a close fourth in the final standings.
