The MP Motorsport team arrived at the Circuito del Jarama for round 4 of the Spanish Formula 4 season after a 2-month break.
Coming back well-rested, the team entered the weekend in a great position with MP Motorsport in P1 and KCL Motorsport in P4.
In terms of the drivers, Kasper led the rookies' championship and sat in P2 overall, with Rocco tied with him for points and sat in P3, with half the drivers sitting within P5 of the drivers' championship.
With a weekend of racing ahead, there were three races' worth of opportunity to make up and continue a climb up the leaderboards.
The Free Practice sessions went away on Saturday morning at the Circuito del Jarama.
The first session saw Rocco top the timesheets with a time of 1:33.095 set on his fourth of six laps of the circuit.
Continuing, Borys also completed six laps of the circuit, with his fourth of 1:33.280 being his fastest and placing P5.
Furthermore, Louis placed 13th in FP1 and came out of the session having completed six laps as well, with the pattern continuing, with his fastest lap of 1:33.849 being his fourth.
Completing one lap less than his teammates, Felipe came out of FP1 in P15 with a fastest time of 1:33.894 set on his fourth and penultimate lap.
With a similar scenario to Felipe, Jensen ran five laps, with his fourth being his fastest, to come out P18 in the session with a time of 1:34.235.
Finally, Kasper came out of the session without a lap time recorded, but completed a total of four laps and came out of the session in P31.
Free Practice 2 saw some changes from the first session.
Borys went fastest overall this time with a time of 1:32.688, which he set on his 13th lap of 14.
Following not too far behind, Kasper placed third in the FP2 session with a time of 1:32.802, set on his 12th of 14 laps of the circuit.
Placing just behind his teammate in P4, Rocco came out of the second practice session with a fastest time of 1:32.846, set on his tenth of 14 laps overall.
Further down the grid, Louis ran a total of 15 laps and set a fastest time of 1:33.146 on his 12th lap to come out P14 in the session.
Jensen ended the session in P18; he ran a total of 14 laps and set his fastest time of 1:33.387 on his 11th lap.
Finally, Felipe ended the session in P21. He completed a total of 15 laps and, similar to Jensen, set his fastest time of 1:33.479 on his 11th lap.

Qualifying took place on the following Saturday, with a solid performance for the team.
Fastest of the group was Borys, who came out of the session with the benchmark fastest time of 1:32.929, set on his fifth lap of 12.
Continuing, only 0.193 seconds off Borys, Kasper locked in a fastest time of 1:33.122 on his penultimate lap of the session to come out in P2.
With a solid P5, Rocco ran a total of 12 laps, with his fifth flying lap of 1:33.304 being his fastest.
Further down the grid, Jensen locked in P12 for the qualifying session with his fastest time of 1:33.483 set on his tenth lap of 11.
Felipe qualified in P18 with a fastest time of 1:33.757 secured on his 11th, penultimate lap of the session.
Finally, Louis qualified in P29 with a fastest time of 1:34.058, set on his seventh of eight laps.
Overall, Saturday's qualifying had mixed results across both MP and KCL Motorsport, with a positive outlook for Race 1 and Race 2, with Borys setting the fastest time, as well as Kasper and Rocco all in the top 5.
Qualifying Results:
The first race of three for the weekend of round four of the Spanish Formula 4 2026 championship went ahead on a cloudy Saturday at the Circuito del Jarama.
For the starting grid, both Borys and Kasper were head-to-head on the front row in P1 and P2, while Rocco started in P4, Jensen in P12, Felipe in P17, and Louis in P29.
On the launch off the line, Borys had a great start, propelling ahead and maintaining his lead of the race off the line. Meanwhile, Jensen momentarily overtook Tuñón for P11, before falling back to P12 before the end of the first lap.
Before the end of the first lap, a safety car came out, and Louis had climbed up four places to P25.
The race was green-flagged with 26 minutes to go. On the restart, Monteiro went into the pits, automatically promoting Jensen up to P11, Felipe to P16 and Louis to P24.
Meanwhile, Rocco battled it out hard with Micallef for his position.
With 25 minutes remaining, Alibhai fell down the order, which promoted Felipe to P15. Simultaneously, further down the grid, Fluxá was also involved in an incident which promoted Louis up two positions to P22.
Not long after, Louis crashed and was out of the race, resulting in a safety car which remained until there were 15 minutes of racing left on the clock.
Borys actioned an early restart and was able to propel ahead of the pack. Meanwhile, Petrović attempted to overtake Rocco for P4, but Rocco defended cleanly and closed the door on the T-Code driver. During this, Borys completed the fastest lap of the race on this restart with a 1:33.546.
With 12 minutes remaining, Jensen battled with Piñera and lost his position and fell to P12.
Following, further back on the same lap, with ten minutes remaining, there was a collision further back in the field, which resulted in another safety car. The safety car remained until less than seven minutes remained.
On the restart, Kasper made an immediate launch for P1 against Borys, but he locked up, which resulted in Borys maintaining his lead. Meanwhile, Rocco was overtaken by Petrović and fell to P5.
Upon the restart, there was a three-car collision, resulting in yet another safety car.
Before the safety car came out, Kasper was able to overtake Borys and snatch up the lead; meanwhile, Rocco was overtaken by Kaczynski and fell to P6, while Jensen lost two positions to Kelleher and Fisher and ended up in P14 for the safety car.
The race was run under the safety car to the chequered flag, resulting in Rocco and Jensen being unable to have an opportunity to regain any positions lost on a restart. Unfortunately, after post-race penalties, Rocco was dropped two positions for overtaking during a safety car and finished in P8.
In a fantastic finish, Kasper won the first race of the weekend, with Borys in a close second place after having led the bulk of the race.
Race 1 results:
The final qualifying session went ahead on Sunday at the Circuito del Jarama ahead of the final two races of the weekend.
Kasper ended up fastest of the MP Motorsport team, setting a fastest time of 1:32.392. This placed him in P2 for the session.
Qualifying in P3, Borys put in a fastest lap time of 1:32.504, only 0.122 seconds off Kasper.
Continuing, Rocco set a fastest time of 1:32.610, ending up qualifying in a solid P5 for the final session.
Further down the leaderboard, Felipe qualified in P18 with his fastest lap time being 1:33.026.
Only 0.188 seconds slower than Felipe, Jensen qualified in P19, setting a fastest lap time of 1:33.144.
Finally, Louis qualified in P20, securing a fastest time of 1:33.193.
Qualifying 2 results:
In warmer conditions than the previous race, Race 2 went ahead on a sunny Sunday at the Circuito del Jarama.
On the starting grid, Borys was on pole, with Kasper in P2, Rocco in P5, Jensen in P14, Felipe in P15, and Louis in P26.
Upon the launch, Borys had a good start and maintained his lead, while Rocco had made up a position to P4. However, racing was cut short by an incident on the opening lap involving Mokarem hitting Kaczynski’s stalled car on the launch.
This was initially under a safety car before the race was red-flagged with 18:33 minutes remaining. As a result of the crashed-out cars, Jensen was up to P12, Felipe to P13 and Louis to P24.
When the drivers were back on track, the race time was cut by two minutes; this allowed 16 and a half minutes of racing. The race restarted under the safety car, and after two formation laps, the race was green-flagged with 12 minutes and 30 seconds to go.
Again, Borys had a solid restart and took off ahead of the pack. Unfortunately, this race resumption was also cut short as Neto crashed out on the restart, inducing another safety car. As a result, Louis was promoted to P23.
By the time the safety car came in and the race was green-flagged, there were six minutes of racing remaining.
On the restart, Borys and Kasper were close and battled briefly, until Kasper then began to fall under pressure from Kanthan behind him, but remained in P2.
With less than five minutes remaining, Jensen and Piñera battled side by side, with Jensen overtaking and snatching up P11.
Later on, after Radeck fell down the order with two and a half minutes remaining, Louis was promoted to P22. On the same lap, Lowette fell down the order as well, which further promoted Louis to P21. Finally, Sato also descended down the pack, which brought Louis up to P20, which is where he finished the race.
With ten seconds remaining, Moodley crashed out, and the safety car was out yet again. This resulted in the race finishing under the safety car again, with both Borys and Kasper on the podium for the second race in a row for the weekend.
Race 2 results:
For the third race of round 4, the drivers took to the track at Circuito del Jarama for the final time of the weekend.
Kasper started in the front row in P2 with Borys on the second row in P3. Next was Rocco in P5, Felipe in P18, Jensen in P19 and Louis in P23.
Immediately at the start, there was a yellow flag when Louis unfortunately failed to avoid the stalled car of Mulder and crashed into the wall at the start, ending his race.
On the safety car, Kasper and Borys maintained their positions while Rocco fell to P6; Jensen was up to P16, while Felipe was down to P20, having lost two places at the start.
The race was green-flagged with 20 minutes to go. Kasper, on the restart, battled hard and put immense pressure on the race leader, Kaczynski, in an attempt to snatch up the race lead. Unfortunately, racing was cut short by another safety car as a result of a crash involving Fluxá and Lowette.
Felipe got caught in the incident and lost his front wing amongst the chaos, and while the safety car was out he pitted to change it and came out at the back of the pack in P30.
The safety car came in with ten minutes of racing remaining.
On the restart, Borys attempted a move all the way around the outside of Kasper, which ignited a wheel-to-wheel battle between the two. Borys went off track and lost a position to Kanthan in the process and was down to P4 while Kasper maintained his P2.
Salvaging his race, by the time eight minutes remained, Felipe had made up three positions to P27.
Jensen had momentarily made up a position to P15 on the restart before falling to P16 again. However, with seven minutes left, he climbed up to P13.
Following, another safety car was called out as a result of Tuñón's car going into the gravel.
By the time the safety car came out, Felipe had made up three more positions and was up to P24.
The race was green-flagged again with only one minute and one lap remaining.
On the restart, Kasper was swift, and on the back of Kaczynski, meanwhile, Borys was back into P3 due to Kanthan dropping down the pack as a result of contact during his battle with Borys.
Rocco also had a good restart and made his way up to P5 before unfortunately dropping down to P7. While Felipe had made up one more position and was in P23.
On the final lap, Kasper pushed hard against Kaczynski, weaving and searching for a gap but to no avail. He finished solidly on the podium in P2.
When Arnaudo crashed out of the race, there was a yellow flag; this saw Felipe move up to P21, where he finished.
Borys, in a stable race from lights to flags, finished in P3, although post-race he was given a ten-second penalty for causing the collision with Kanthan, which dropped him to P17.
Rocco finished within the top ten in P7 and Jensen finished in a solid P13, but after post-race penalties were distributed, Rocco was up to P5 and Jensen to P12.
Race 3 Results:
Moving forward, the team closed the Round 4 weekend at Circuito del Jarama with podium placements in every race, with Kasper having a particularly dominant weekend after winning race 1 and placing P2 in both race 2 and 3.
Leaving Jarama, MP Motorsport led the teams championship with a 43-point lead, while Kasper continued and extended his lead in the drivers championship, with Borys moving up from P5 to P2 in the drivers championship.
Spanish Formula 4 will return to racing in a month at the Circuito de Jerez–Ángel Nieto for round 5 of 7.
