Latest Richard Mille Shootout winner Kasper Schormans rewarded with 2026 F4 Spanish seat at MP Motorsport

Dutch karting talent Kasper Schormans has won the 2025 edition of the Richard Mille Young Talent Shootout and will be rewarded with a fully funded seat in the 2026 F4 Spanish championship with leading single-seater outfit MP Motorsport. The annual Richard Mille-backed competition allows the winners to smoothly transfer from karting to single-seater racing, as they continue their onward journey to the top formulae in motor racing.

This year’s Richard Mille Young Talent Shootout was the eighth edition of its kind, as Schormans follows in the footsteps of Enzo Valente (2018), Rafael Villagómez (2019), Hugh Barter (2020), Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (2021), Keanu Al Azhari (2022), Mattia Colnaghi (2023) and Ean Eyckmans (2024). The latter four all made their single-seater debut with MP Motorsport as part of their prize, as will Schormans.

The Richard Mille Young Talent Shootout is run for Richard Mille by Nicolas Todt’s All Road Management driver management organization and leading karting outfit Birel ART. The contest follows a multi-day selection process including fitness exercise, simulator tests, media training, data analysis and on-track tests in F4 machinery. This year, the Shootout was held over three days at Jérez, alongside rounds of the Eurocup-3 and F4 Spanish Championship. This allowed the contestants to get a feel for the atmosphere of a multi-race single-seater race weekend.

“I’m incredibly happy”, said Schormans, “especially about my performance in mental health and physical health and also on track. I've done everything that I needed to do and I’m extremely happy about the conclusion of the events. I want to thank everyone – Richard Mille, MP Motorsport for making this possible, and All Road Management for everything they are going to do for me. We’ll try and win a championship next year!”

15-year-old Kasper Schormans from Born in the Netherlands entered the Richard Mille Young Talent Shootout on the back of a strong final season in KZ2 karting, ending up fourth in the FIA European Championship while finishing fifth in the WSK Final Cup and being crowned Rookie of the Year.

“We very much welcome Kasper into our 2026 F4 Spanish line-up”, said Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport’s team principal. “It’s been an absolute delight to cooperate on this with Richard Mille, All Road Management en Birel ART. Kasper’s predecessors have shown exceptionally well in their debut seasons with MP Motorsport, so our F4 Spanish team looks forward to working with yet another highly talented young driver graduating from the Richard Mille Young Talent Shootout. That Kasper happens to be Dutch is a fortunate bonus!”

Schormans was selected on the same weekend that various Richard Mille Shootout winners made a name for themselves. At Jérez, 2024 winner Eyckmans took his first Spanish Formula 4 win, while 2023 winner Colnaghi made it two titles in two years by adding the 2025 Eurocup-3 crown to his 2024 F4 Spanish title. Meanwhile at Barcelona, 2021 winner Tymek Kucharczyk added a fifth victory to his season tally to extend his lead in the 2025 Euroformula Open series. 2022 winner Al Azhari finished a close second to Colnaghi in last year’s F4 Spanish Championship and is a winning contender in this year’s GB3 Series, further underlining the solid career trajectories of the past four Shootout winners following their debut season with MP.
