Quick Polish karter Borys Łyżeń has signed with MP Motorsport for his debut season in the F4 Spanish Championship. The 15-year-old from Skierniewice goes into his first year in single-seaters on the back of a strong final season in karts.

Łyżeń joined MP following a run of successful tests in which the young driver clicked with the Dutch team, having completed a final karting season in the OK category in which he grabbed a sixth and a fifth in the Campillos and Franciacorta rounds of the FIA European Championship and the WSK Super Masters series respectively, and ultimately finished 19th in the FIA World Championship. He was also among the frontrunners in the Champions of the Future series. Łyżeń will join Kasper Schormans, Louis Cochet and Rocco Coronel in a line-up that will expand to six drivers, with more announcements coming up soon.
“I’m extremely happy to be joining such a strong and professional team for my first season in motorsport”, said Łyżeń. “MP Motorsport has a winning pedigree in the F4 Spanish Championship , that is arguably today’s most competitive of all Formula 4 series around the world. Their experience will help me get up to speed quickly, so I hope to be able to start challenging at the front as the season progresses. It will be an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to get going!”
“We are very pleased that Borys will be part of our F4 Spanish line-up in 2026”, said Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport’s team principal. “He has shown extremely well in karts in recent years, and we are confident that he will make a smooth transition to single-seaters. Of course, we will do our best to make it even smoother for him, allowing the results to come soon. With Kasper, Louis, Rocco, and now Borys, our F4 line-up is growing stronger with each announcement, and there’s more coming up.”

Ahead of his final season in karts, Łyżeń ran a pair of strong seasons in the OK Junior category, racking up top-ten finishes in the WSK Euro Series and the Champions of the Future series in 2024. In the Minis in 2022, he was among the top drivers in the Italian Championship, while he ended 2021 with a bang by taking second in the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals for Mini Max karts in Bahrain.
