The penultimate round of the 2025 F1 Academy season brought the championship to the streets of Singapore for a weekend filled with heat, humidity, and high stakes. After a dominant win in Zandvoort, MP Motorsport arrived determined to close the 19-point gap to the Drivers’ Championship lead with Maya and to strengthen their fight in the Teams’ Standings.
Free Practice
The weekend began under the sweltering Singapore sun with changing grip levels defining the session. Maya immediately showed pace, going wheel-to-wheel on the timesheets with Pin and Palmowski. The Ferrari driver’s best lap of 2:03.966 briefly put her on top before Pin edged ahead by just 0.022 seconds.
Alba adapted well to the demanding street layout, building confidence and rhythm, while Joanne used the session to learn the limits on her first outing around Marina Bay. A late brush with the wall for Maya ended her session early but confirmed her speed heading into Qualifying.

Race 1
Saturday opened with the Top 8 reverse grid Race, and as the lights went out, chaos erupted in Turn 1. Maya avoided early contact and surged from P8 to P5 within the opening corners. A Safety Car followed as Havrda hit the barriers, neutralizing the field.
On the restart, Maya capitalized on others’ mistakes, overtaking for P4 and then sliding past Nobels for P2 with a daring move around the outside of Turn 15. A late Safety Car compressed the field once again, but despite mounting pressure, Maya crossed the line P2, claiming her seventh podium of the season and cutting the championship gap to just 15 points.
Alba’s fight for points ended with a 10-second penalty after contact during a midfield battle, while Joanne slotted in P11.

Race 2
Sunday’s Feature Race brought tension and unpredictability as dark clouds loomed over Marina Bay. Maya led the grid from pole but lost the lead to Pin into Turn 1 after slight wheelspin off the line. Alba dropped to P10 but quickly regained ground, while Joanne advanced to P11, showing strong consistency.
By Lap 6, the first signs of rain arrived, and several teams gambled on pitting for wet tyres. MP chose to stay out on slicks, a decision that proved decisive. With drivers that headed into the pits, lost out on track position with very few laps to fight for them again.
A late Safety Car reshuffled the order, and at the restart, Maya launched an audacious move on Pin into Turn 5, taking the lead on the final lap to win her third race of the season.
Alba followed with a strong P5 after a flawless recovery, while Joanne scored points in P8, having all MP drivers finishing inside the top 10.
