Race victories across the board, title challenges in every category, and championship wins in Eurocup-3 – those are the rewards in a very successful year for MP Motorsport on the single-seater ladder towards Formula 1. The Dutch team’s 30th season of competition proved to be among its best ever.
In 2025, MP Motorsport ran multiple cars in FIA Formula 2, FIA Formula 3, F1 Academy, Eurocup-3 and the F4 Spanish Championship, as well as the E3 and E4 winter series connected to the latter two series, consolidating its stature as one of the world’s largest teams in motorsport, with no less than 24 drivers on its 2025 roster. The season was a success by any measure, as MP achieved its ambition of fighting at the front in every championship in which it participated, while maintaining its reputation for being a friendly, accessible and nurturing environment for young and talented drivers.

FIA F2: oh so close for Verschoor
In Formula 2, Richard Verschoor teamed up with MP Motorsport for one last tilt at the title, and got oh so close in his attempt to become champion before waving goodbye to F2. On the back of a string of amazing wins at Jeddah, Barcelona and the Red Bull Ring, the Dutchman led the championship at the halfway point, before a run of bad luck relegated him to third in the final standings – but not after another commanding performance at Losail. Verschoor gelled wonderfully with team mate Oliver Goethe, who came on strong in the second half of the season, boding well for 2026, when the German will remain with MP.

FIA F3: Tramnitz in with a chance
In Formula 3, MP’s lead driver Tim Tramnitz was always in with a chance of the title, eventually ending up fourth in the championship. The German took a convincing win at Imola, while team mate Bruno del Pino took second at the Italian track on a particularly strong weekend for MP. Proving the team’s strength in depth, Alessandro Giusti’s best was a second place at the Red Bull Ring on his way to tenth in the final F3 rankings.

Eurocup-3: Colnaghi does it again
Reigning F4 Spanish champion Mattia Colnaghi went two for two by claiming the spoils in Eurocup-3, once again lifting the crown in his rookie season and thus becoming the first driver to seal back-to-back F4 Spanish and Eurocup-3 titles. With five wins and four poles, the Italo-Argentine driver led an utterly impressive Eurocup-3 season for MP in which it also claimed the teams’ title, aided by Valerio Rinicella taking a fighting second place in the championship. Maciej Gładysz and Andrés Cardenas also bagged wins for MP, while Emerson Fittipaldi Jr netted pole at Spa.
MP’s form proved even more convincing in the Eurocup-3 winter prelude, as Gładysz led home a resounding 1-2-4-5-6 in the final driver standings.

F1 Academy: Weug narrowly misses out
Maya Weug fought hard all year to only lose out on the F1 Academy title in the final round of the season at Las Vegas. With three wins and three poles, the Dutch girl would have been an equally deserving champion, but luck deserted her at a few decisive moments, especially at Montreal, where issues outside the team’s control put her on the back foot. Alba Larsen completed a stunning rookie season with seventh in the final standings while Joanne Ciconte was a top-ten finisher in several rounds.

F4 Spanish: Eyckmans and Lammers lead the charge
In F4 Spanish, René Lammers spearheaded MP’s title charge all season, but the young Dutchman agonisingly lost no less than three wins on the trot in the early part of the season, frustrating his momentum, and endured more cruel luck in the final round to drop to an undeserved fourth in the final standings. Meanwhile, Ean Eyckmans’ form improved with every round, resulting in a last-gasp runner-up finish in the championship and top rookie honours. Reno Francot won for MP at Barcelona, while Juan Cota, Hudson Schwartz and Rocco Coronel – on his debut! – brought home podium finishes for the team.
In the preceding E4 Winter Championship, Lammers announced his F4 Spanish title intentions with a win at Jérez, while Yani Stevenheydens won at Navarra.
Preparing for an equally competitive 2026
The team now looks forward to a couple of short but productive winter months before the racing gets going again in February and March. In 2026, MP Motorsport will continue in all of the above series while expanding to include the reinvigorated FIA Formula Regional European Championship in its activities. In Gabriele Minì (F2), Oliver Goethe (F2), Alessandro Giusti (F3), Tuukka Taponen (F3), Mattia Colnaghi (F3), Kasper Schormans (SF4) and Louis Cochet (SF4), the first drivers have already been announced, creating a strong foundation beneath what the team aims to be another season filled with race wins and title challenges.
